These products, known by the brand name, “Hanazo”, have gained a favourable popularity in the food industry.
The goal of our Function Materials and Food Materials Division is to support the food processing industry; and, to achieve that it strives daily to develop new products that fulfills our motto of “original ideas through cutting-edge technology.” As the division that can access new materials used in various industries, it continues to explore innovate possibilities.
Here at Chiba Flour Milling, we have focused our research and development on the ability of saccharide fatty acid esters to turn oil-based substances into gels. Our Rheopearl series embodies these efforts and has been utilized in cosmetics and other industries for over thirty years. In recent years, we cultivated the esterification techniques we perfected through the Rheopearl line to develop and bring to market a resinous film-forming agent (UNIFILMA HVY). Moving forward, we will continue to explore the possibilities of saccharide fatty acid esters and strive to develop products that are useful to everyone.
Our research lab conducts R&D related to materials that give a new value to grain. It ascertains the needs of the marketplace and society, then coalesces those ideas into experiments and prototypes while coordinating with others, both inside and outside, of the company to make them a reality. In particular, the expansion of Japan’s aging society has provided us the desire in recent years to help people live healthier lives through nutrition. Our lab is currently involved in projects related to health, nutrition, and taste.
A quality assurance system is indispensable in our mission to deliver safe and reliable food products to our customers. We have been certified by external inspecting bodies as part of our continuous efforts to maintain and improve quality. We have also obtained Halal certification so that we are able to respond to the needs of a wider range of customers. Our Quality Assurance Division strives to provide the absolute safest products. To that end, it has established a system based on food safety policies that guarantees quality through all production stages, from the ordering of raw ingredients through the shipping of the final product.
